What's in your Replay

1. How many messages you've sent each other. Guess first, then watch the real number land.
2. Your busiest month, and the single day your chat was busiest of all.
3. Your top three emoji, and how many times each one was sent.
4. Your golden hour: the time of day you two talk the most.
5. The words you both use, and the ones that are only yours.
6. Your longest streak: the most days in a row you talked without missing one.
7. Your chat's little habits: who usually starts the conversation, who usually replies faster, who says goodnight more.
8. Milestone stamps your chat earned along the way, like your 10,000th message.
9. A playful personality for your chat, like The Night Owl or The Voice Note Duo, worked out from simple counts in your messages.

Every number comes from the messages in your export, so the more your export holds, the more there is to find. You can make a Replay of everything in the export or of a single year.

Make it yours

Give your Replay its own title and a dedication, and pick up to four phrases to count. We want your Replay to feel like you and your chat, so you choose what gets counted: your inside joke, your nicknames for each other, or how many times 'I'm proud of you' was said. Then choose a look. All of this is included in your free Replays.

How to make your WhatsApp Wrapped

1. Export the chat from WhatsApp. On iPhone, open the chat, tap their name, then 'Export Chat'. On Android, open the chat, tap the three dots, then 'More' and 'Export chat'. Without media is fine. Menus can differ a little between versions.
2. Open EM Replay and sign in or create a free account.
3. Choose the exported file. EM reads it in your browser and works out every number there.
4. Tell it which one is you, add your personal touches, and play your story.
5. At the end, pick your favourite cards and save them as images or a video to share.

Is it private?

Your Replay is made on your device. When you add a chat from your phone, EM reads the file in your browser and works out every number there, so you don't need to upload the conversation to make your Replay.

If you choose to keep the chat in EM as well, it's saved like your other memories. Encrypted before it leaves your device. Only you can read your memories. Some supporting details stay readable, like message dates and times, so EM can bring the right memories back on the right day. Our privacy page lists them all.

Sharing is up to you too. The cards that show your actual words start unticked, so you choose what goes out.
