Do I need an account?
Yes, a free EM account. It's how your 2 free Replays stay yours on every device, and where your Replays wait for you in Loved. Your chat isn't kept in EM unless you choose to keep it.
Can EM read my chat?
When you add a chat from your phone, your Replay is made on your device. EM reads the file in your browser and works out every number right there, on your phone or computer. Your chat is never uploaded, it doesn't leave your device, unless you save it in EM. Then it's saved like your other memories. Encrypted before it leaves your device. Only you can read your memories.
How long does it take?
Usually under a minute. Every number is worked out on your device, so a very long chat takes a little longer. If the file is in iCloud or Google Drive, open it there first so it downloads.
Which chats work?
Replay is made for a chat between two people, exported from WhatsApp on iPhone or Android. The longer your chat, the more there is to find.
Does it work with group chats?
Not yet. Replay is made for a chat between two people, so a group chat can't be turned into a Replay for now.
Does it work in other languages?
Most of the numbers work in any language: your messages, busiest months, streaks and emoji. The screens about words, like your top words and phrases, are tuned for English for now, so in another language they can be less accurate.
Does it work with WhatsApp Business?
It should, as long as it's a chat between two people. If one doesn't read, let us know.
Can I share it?
Every screen is made to be shared. At the end you pick the cards to save as images or a video, and the ones with your words start unticked, so you choose what goes out.
Can I make one for someone who has died?
Yes. The core of EM is treasuring messages from the people we love and may have lost, so Replays from these chats are handled with extra care.
What if I want to change it after paying?
Change the look, the title or the chapter as often as you like. Once you've paid for a Replay, changing it never costs again.
